Exposure so far...

During the course of the London2Brighton project, we've managed to raise the profile of the event in a number of publications and websites... Our website has been nice and busy too with over 2,000 unique visitors since we launched the site earlier this year.

Back in December 2006, Simon and I decided that we would do something crazy before we got too old to do it (or had too many responsibilities). While we've been doing this we've managed to gain the support of a whole host of sponsors and supporters and have appeared in a number of articles and news stories in the sailing press...
  • Yachts and Yachting picked up the challenge early on and mentioned it in the news section.
  • Jeremy Evans included a mention in his regular column a couple of months later in the same publication
  • Dinghy sailing magazine have picked up the story twice so far, with a couple of mentions in their 'Cat Corner' section
  • Sailing News featured an entire page on our challenge including a rather fetching photo of Simon and I
  • All at Sea, in June also featured an entire page on our challenge
We'll be continuing the PR focus up to and beyond the date of our challenge, in order to make sure that our Cause (Diabetes UK) and our Sponsors get the maximum exposure - and of course so that we can raise as much money as possible!
