Brighton Sailing Club visit

Well, last weekend Lorna and I went to meet the team at Brighton Sailing Club, braving the 40,000 bikers who were also on their way to Brighton, although thankfully not the sailing club!!.

We had a wonderful day meeting other members of the club, in particular Roger and Virginia Barnacle, who having both had a late night partying and organising an event at the club the night before, made sure that we were both welcomed. Most gratefully received was the beer on arrrival at the club and immediately made me think of becoming a member there and then, although the three hours to get there (mainly due to the bikers rally) did dusade me this time!.

We were showed the best way of landing and the areas to avoid on the water and the landmarks to look out for, as well as the facilities and most importantly the bar. Hopefully we will have a good reception when we arrive if it's not too late..also a huge thanks to everyone at the club for the support so far in our attempt and for making our brief stay very welcoming, we look forward to finishing our challenge at this wonderful club.
